NVIDIA’s tokenized stock has pushed into a stubborn resistance zone around $227, and the rally is starting to look tired.
The underlying NVIDIA story is still heavily tied to artificial intelligence demand, data center expansion and the continued rollout of advanced GPU infrastructure. The short-term trading picture, though, is becoming less comfortable.
According to market analysis published by Blockchain.News on August 17, NVDA tokenized stock was trading around $226.24 while repeatedly running into resistance between roughly $226.96 and $227.68. Several momentum indicators were also beginning to lose strength.
That makes the next move unusually interesting.
NVDA Is Sitting Right Under a Difficult Resistance Zone
The broader trend still looks constructive.
NVDA remained above its 7-day, 20-day and 50-day simple moving averages, something traders normally read as a bullish structure. The problem is what is happening underneath that trend.
The MACD histogram had flattened around zero, suggesting that the momentum responsible for pushing NVDA higher was no longer accelerating. Meanwhile, the Stochastic indicator had moved into elevated territory, with its %K reading above 93 in the data cited by Blockchain.News.
That does not automatically mean a selloff is coming.
It does mean buyers may need a fresh catalyst if they want to push decisively through $227.
The RSI offered a slightly different picture. At around 64.78, it was approaching overbought territory but had not crossed the commonly watched 70 level.
So the market is not flashing one clean signal. It rarely does.
Why the $215 Level Suddenly Matters
The more important number may not be $227.
It may be closer to $215.
Blockchain.News identified the 20-day simple moving average around $215.68 as an important technical area. NVDA was also positioned in the upper portion of its Bollinger Band range, while the upper band stood near $238.55.
That leaves plenty of room for price to cool without necessarily destroying the larger bullish trend.
A pullback into the $215 area would bring NVDA closer to its medium-term moving average and potentially reset some of the stretched momentum indicators.
There is a nearer level to watch first.
Support around $224.44 was highlighted as a potential trigger. If that level breaks convincingly with stronger volume, attention could quickly shift toward the $215 region.
Traders Are Leaning Slightly Bearish
Derivatives positioning adds another wrinkle.
Blockchain.News reported that approximately 54% of top Binance traders were positioned short compared with 46% long. The broader trader ratio also leaned bearish, with about 53.4% positioned short.
The taker buy-to-sell ratio was slightly below 1 as well, pointing to marginally stronger aggressive selling than buying.
None of those numbers show panic.
They show hesitation.
Open interest was reported around $42.9 million and had slipped about 0.61% during the day. Rather than traders aggressively opening new positions, some appeared to be reducing exposure while NVDA sat beneath resistance.
Markets often become more unpredictable when everyone is waiting for confirmation.
This looks like one of those moments.
A Bigger Pullback Could Put $208 on the Radar
The $215 area is not the only downside scenario.
If selling becomes more aggressive and broader technology markets weaken, NVDA could potentially fall toward its 50-day moving average around $208.19, according to the same analysis.
From prices around $226, that would represent a noticeably deeper correction.
It would also dramatically change the risk-to-reward calculation for traders who still believe NVIDIA’s longer-term growth story remains intact.
That distinction matters.
A correction driven by exhausted momentum is very different from one caused by deteriorating business fundamentals.
Right now, the debate appears to be much more about valuation and positioning than the disappearance of AI infrastructure demand.
NVIDIA’s AI Story Has Not Gone Away
The longer-term argument around NVIDIA remains familiar.
The company continues to sit near the center of global AI infrastructure spending, with hyperscalers, enterprises and governments investing heavily in computing capacity. NVIDIA has also been helping build the financial machinery behind that expansion through partnerships aimed at mobilizing more than $500 billion for AI infrastructure.
Blockchain.News pointed to continued demand for NVIDIA’s data center GPUs and Blackwell-generation hardware as important support for the broader fundamental case.
NVIDIA is also expanding beyond data-center hardware itself, including a broader push into local AI models, agent tools and on-device inference.
Analyst expectations have also remained considerably above current trading levels.
The report referenced a Wall Street consensus price target of approximately $253.02, leaving potential upside from the mid-$220 range if those forecasts eventually prove accurate.
That does not mean NVDA moves there in a straight line.
Stocks rarely cooperate that nicely.
Could NVDA Still Break Above $227?
Absolutely.
A clean breakout above roughly $227.68 would weaken the immediate pullback argument.
The next technical area would then sit closer to the upper Bollinger Band around $238.55. From there, traders would likely start talking about the $253 analyst target again.
A strong catalyst could accelerate that scenario.
Another surge in AI infrastructure spending, encouraging technology-sector earnings, a major NVIDIA product announcement or a broader risk-on move across markets could all change sentiment quickly.
Tokenized equities add another element. They can trade in blockchain-based markets beyond traditional Wall Street hours, creating a different mix of participants and liquidity conditions.
The price action does not always behave exactly like the underlying stock market session.
That same 24-hour dynamic is already appearing in markets for other major technology names, including Tesla-linked tokenized stock.
NVIDIA Tokenized Stock Price Prediction: $215 Before Another Rally?
The short-term setup looks less like a collapse and more like a market running out of momentum beneath resistance.
NVDA has struggled to clear $227. Momentum indicators have cooled. Some trader positioning has tilted bearish.
That makes the $224 area worth watching first.
A convincing break below it could expose roughly $215. A larger market correction could stretch the downside toward $208.
On the other hand, holding support and breaking through $227 would put $238 back into the conversation fairly quickly.
And behind all of those short-term numbers sits the longer-running question surrounding NVIDIA: how much of the global AI infrastructure boom is already priced into the stock?
The market still has not settled that argument.
